Note that <a href=\"https:\/\/ora-visio.com\/le-soutien-scolaire-a-distance\/les-programmes-scolaires-de-cp-a-la-3e\/les-mathematiques-en-classe-de-6e\/\">mathematics<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/ora-visio.com\/en\/online-academic-support\/school-curricula-cp-to-3e\/modern-languages-year-7-6e\/\">modern language<\/a> lessons each take up 4h and <a href=\"https:\/\/ora-visio.com\/en\/online-academic-support\/school-curricula-cp-to-3e\/french-in-6e\/\">French<\/a> 5h. Behind this subject are actually two distinct subjects: Life and Earth Sciences (SVT) and Technology.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Life and Earth Sciences in detail<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Before tackling physics-chemistry in <a href=\"https:\/\/ora-visio.com\/quel-est-le-programme-scolaire-au-college-cycle-4%e2%80%89\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">cycle 4<\/a>, 6e students get a first scientific approach to the world through the Life and Earth Sciences (SVT) curriculum. The course is organised into several parts:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Characteristics of <strong>the immediate environment<\/strong> and distribution of living things<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>population<\/strong> of an environment<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>origins of the matter<\/strong> making up living things<\/li>\n<li>Practices serving <strong>human nutrition<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Technology in detail<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Technology lessons aim to give 6e students an idea of <strong>the world of industry<\/strong> in general, and to show the link between products and human needs. Lessons will focus on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Analysing how a <strong>technical object<\/strong> works<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>materials<\/strong> used<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>energies<\/strong> involved<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>evolution<\/strong> of the technical object<\/li>\n<li><strong>Communication<\/strong> <strong>and information management<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The <strong>production process<\/strong> of a technical object<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To do this, the 6e student will be required to search for information within the coll\u00e8ge, but also outside it.
